Mississippi Solar is a licensed Electrical Contractor with a Solar and Wind Certification.  Lic. # 18200. Mississippi Solar is the first Solar Company in Mississippi to hold a Solar and Wind Specialty License in addition to being a residential builder in Mississippi. Lic. #R16229.   The Company is a Certified installer for Sharp, Xantrex , DPW Systems and Enphase.

Will Hegman, founder of Mississippi Solar, began working with Strauss Electric when designing and installing wind and solar on his sailboat in the Caribbean in the 1980’s. He has completed both basic and advanced Photovoltaic courses from Solar Energy International.   As well as extensive training from numerous Universities and leading PV Manufacturers. He holds a NABCEP Certificate of Knowledge, Certificate Number EO22109-55.

Mississippi Solar designed and installed the first grid-tie, and grid-tie with battery back-up system in Mississippi under the TVA “Generation Partners” Green Power Switch Program.

Currently, Mississippi Solar has completed over 20 PV Installations throughout the State of Mississippi.
